PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
Suff bottles were once used to contain opium to be sniffed,
mainly by the palace high ranking officials. All bottles
are handpainted and uniquely painted from internal of the bottle.
A small paint brush is used and placed through
the narrow neck of the bottle and painted from the inside of the glass bottle.
The last and most powerful empress is a ardent fan
and collector of snuff bottles.

(12 animals from the wheel of the Chinese calender)
There is a legend that once upon a time in heaven,
the emperor called 12 animals to have a race to decide
upon the 12 years cycle. The animals gathered together
and started jumping into the river. The bull was the
best swimmer. The rat, being most cunning, asked the
bullt for a ride because he could not swim. Being kind
hearted, the bull agreed. Soon, as they were about to
reach the shore, the rat which was riding on the bull's back,
jumped on first. Hence the rat became the first in the twelee
cycle. The animals in order are: Rat, bull, tiger,
rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig.
